A Zelda-like adventure game, is set to be released on August 2 for the next-gen consoles, namely the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game was initially released as an Apple Arcade exclusive in September 2019 and later made its way to the Nintendo Switch.
The next-gen version of Oceanhorn 2 will feature improved graphics, supporting 4K gameplay at 60 frames per second. This upgrade is a notable improvement over the Nintendo Switch version, which already offered a 60fps mode but did not reach 4K resolution due to the hardware limitations of the console.
The game will also be released on PC, available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, with a price tag of $29.99, the same as the Switch version. The PC and next-gen console versions will incorporate all the quality-of-life and content updates that the game has received up until its release date.
Oceanhorn 2: Knights of the Lost Realm is known for drawing inspiration from The Wind Waker and Breath of the Wild, making it reminiscent of the popular Zelda franchise. The game’s success on next-gen consoles and PC could potentially pave the way for a third installment in the series.
