On April 21, TV Asahi unveiled a nearly three-hour special dedicated to ranking the top anime songs as chosen by international audiences.

In a post on TV Asahi’s Sōsenkyo X account on March 26, the staff disclosed that they had surveyed anime fans from around the globe to compile a list of the top 20 anime songs. According to information on the TV Asahi homepage, a total of 1,740 individuals participated in the poll.

The eagerly awaited special, titled “Anisong Ranking,” aired on Sunday, April 21 at 6:00 p.m., showcasing the collective favorites of anime lovers worldwide. The program promised to delve into the allure of these beloved anime melodies, unveiling the top 20 selections for the first time and exploring the secrets behind their popularity.
