Ubisoft Makes Changes To Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Story Creator

Following the recent trend of xp and drachmae farming levels in Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Ubisoft has addressed the controversy.

Ubisoft has recently addressed an exploit in the Story Creator Mode for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Ever since June 10th of 2019, AC Odyssey players have been thinking outside of the box, and have created some really entertaining missions….. and exploits. Players have found a way to “farm” XP, and drachmae (in-game currency) by using this online tool. Players were able to design short quests that rewarded large amounts of XP and drachmae. Yeah, it was that simple. In a short amount of time, these controversial missions had spread across the Assassin’s Creed community, so much so that Ubisoft had to put an end to it.

In a recent statement by Ubisoft, the community manager had commented on the aforementioned Story Creator Mode.

“Since the launch of the beta we have noticed an increasing flow of “farming quests,” that exploit the tool to get large amounts of XP. These exploits risk jeopardizing the overall quality, integrity, and purpose of Story Creator Mode and results in less visibility for the creative, interesting and frankly fantastic community stories that have been published.” They continue, “We want to focus on rewarding creativity by highlighting quality quests and we are working on fixes and adjustments to reduce the impact of such farming quests on the player experience. We are also changing Story Creator Mode’s terms of use to prevent creators from publishing these kinds of Stories.”
