SEGA To Announce Sonic News Each Month In 2020

It seems that SEGA has deemed 2020 as the year of Sonic, as the company has revealed that news regarding the blue hedgehog will appear each month.

Dubbed the “Sonic 2020” project, SEGA will release new Sonic the Hedgehog information on the 20th of each month, with today’s being the announcement of the project itself. However, it does seem that the official SEGA website has added small goodies for fans, including new Sonic wallpapers, avatar icons and more.

Currently, there is no word on what future news updates will entail. Whether we see something as large as new game announcements is yet to be seen, but it does seem likely. Of course, only time will tell what the blue blur has in store.

It appears that SEGA has big plans for their flagship mascot in the future. Not only does the character have its upcoming movie, but news reports throughout the year leading to the series’ 30th anniversary will surely build up to something grand.
