Motion Twin Announces New DLC for Dead Cells

2018’s seminal rogue-lite, Dead Cells, will be getting a ‘massive’ DLC expansion soon. Not only will it be totally free, but you can catch a glimpse of it right now.

Just today, Red Bull Gaming posted a documentary, with Dead Cells French developers, Motion Twin. It’s a fascinating and well-edited video; we highly recommend you give it a watch if you’re a fan of Dead Cells.

In the documentary, Red Bull goes into great detail on the history of Motion Twin, Dead Cell’s early access, and the game’s release. But towards the end, they also note that a DLC pack is in the works.

As Noémie Szmrzsik-Cohard, a Motion Twin Artist noted, “We’re going to release a huge DLC we’ve been working on for nine months. It’s going to be free, and the players are going to freak out.” While she made this statement, footage of the new untitled DLC rolled in the background, complete with a brand-new soundtrack.

To check out the new gameplay, watch the video below. The DLC starts at around 8:50, but we encourage you to give the entire documentary a watch.
