Ghostwire: Tokyo Swings into Action with an Update and Xbox Release

On April 12, Bethesda Softworks and Tango Gameworks will roll out a complimentary update to the widely praised supernatural action game, Ghostwire: Tokyo. The update boasts a brand-new game mode, unexplored areas, extended story cutscenes, quality-of-life enhancements, and more, catering to existing and prospective PlayStation 5 and PC gamers.

Moreover, this upgraded and augmented version is set to debut on Xbox Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC. The Spider’s Thread update, featuring fresh content and gameplay modes, promises to deliver the most comprehensive version of Tango’s eerie Tokyo right from day one for Xbox and PC users with Xbox Game Pass.

Introducing the Spider’s Thread Game Mode

Alongside the core game, the Spider’s Thread game mode challenges players to traverse a daunting 30-stage gauntlet, handpicked from over 120 meticulously crafted levels. The objective is straightforward: reach the finish line. As players conquer challenges and complete stages, they’ll unlock additional skills and amass in-game currency for upgrading their arsenal.

Delve into New Areas and Unravel More Story

The Spider’s Thread update expands the game’s horizons by introducing new locales within the spectral streets of otherworldly Tokyo, such as the local Middle School area. These freshly added locations present players with novel missions to tackle and enigmas to unravel. Additionally, the main game’s narrative will be enriched with extended cutscenes, allowing players to immerse themselves further in Akito & KK’s quest to thwart the malicious Hannya’s plot to devastate Tokyo.

Engage New Foes with Innovative Skills

With the Spider’s Thread update comes an array of menacing new Visitors to Tokyo, such as the invisible Silent Gaze and the elusive Retribution. In order to vanquish these formidable adversaries, Akito will acquire new skills, including the powerful Charge Rush and the devastating Counter Attack.
