What is the Best MTG Proxy Site?

Who makes the best MTG proxies?

In our experience, ProxyKing.biz is the best MTG proxy site. We’ve tested a lot of different proxy makers and nobody can quite match Proxy King in terms of quality, price, shipping speed, and customer service.

ProxyKing

ProxyKing.biz is a top-rated proxy maker in the Magic: the Gathering industry. Their number one goal is to produce high-quality proxy cards at an affordable price. Their staff comprises of MtG enthusiasts who are passionate about their craft and understand the importance of creating proxies that accurately represent the original card.

If you’re searching for the best MtG proxy cards, ProxyKing.biz should be your go to.

Quality:

Quality is one place where PK stands above the competition. Clearly they care about making high quality cards. In fact, they’ve pretty much perfected the art of creating proxies that are almost indistinguishable from the original cards. They use state-of-the-art printing technology and premium materials to ensure every card is of the highest quality.

Price:

ProxyKing offers very competitive prices, with most cards costing around $4. Of course, you can get them cheaper if you buy low-quality proxies from China, for example. However, for the service and quality, their prices can’t be beaten.

Speed:

We’ve ordered multiple times and in every case, they’ve shipped the order within two days. This includes large orders of over 100 cards. They claim that around 90% of orders are shipped within 1 business day, and this has been our experience.

Customer Service:

Customer Service is another way that ProxyKing seems to set itself apart. They have very responsive e-mail support. Additionally, if you ever get the wrong card or your package gets lost in transit they have no hassle refunds or replacements.

Trinket Kingdom – Runner Up

Trinket Kingdom makes custom MTG Proxy cards. So while their cards don’t have the same designs as real cards, they still look amazing. They curate custom art from tons of different fantasy artists. If you want custom proxies, that don’t look like real cards, Trinket Kingdom is our pick.

Quality:

Trinket Kingdom’s cards aren’t meant to look like real cards, however they obviously use very high quality materials and an excellent printing process. The dimensions of their cards mirror real cards, so when they are sleeved you can’t tell a difference.

Additionally, their design team is very talented. They bring out cards with amazing artwork, often better than the original art.

Price:

Their prices are excellent, especially for sets and bundles, where you can get a bunch of cards for around $1-2 per card.

Speed:

Like Proxy King, Trinket Kingdom has a quick turnaround, we typically receive our cards within about a week of ordering.

Customer Service:

We only had one minor shipping issue with our orders, and the customer service team was able to resolve it promptly.

Best Site for Designing Custom Proxies

PrintMTG.com – Print MTG has some excellent tools to make and print custom MTG proxy cards.

They have a wide range of card templates that are fully editable. They will also print your cards for a cheap price – as low as $0.30 per card, which is much cheaper than other sites.

Proxy Companies to Avoid

ProxyQueen – Proxy Queen came out, apparently, to try to take advantage of the hype around Proxy King. Unfortunately, Proxy Queen is based in China, so their shipping times are extremely slow (weeks to months), and their quality is sub-par. Their support is also non-existent.

mtgproxies.biz (Proxy Ninja) – Proxy Ninja is a reseller of Chinese proxies. This isn’t in and of itself bad, but he is known for having very poor customer service and slow turn around times, despite being based in the US. He was banned from the BootlegMTG subreddit (a popular subreddit for mtg proxy talk) for doxxing a disgruntled customer.

There are many bad reviews of proxy ninja, and he has changed his URL multiple times to try to avoid the negative feedback he receives. While some folks have claimed to have received their cards without issues, many folks have been scammed by him. The doxxing thing should make you run, however.

More About MTG Proxies

Magic the Gathering (MTG) proxy cards are replicas of original MTG cards that are created by fans and players of the game. These proxies serve as substitutes for expensive or hard-to-find cards, allowing players to enjoy the game without breaking the bank.

MTG proxy cards are especially useful for new players who are still building their collections and may not have the resources to purchase rare and valuable cards. Proxies also allow players to test different strategies and card combinations before buying the actual cards.

Another benefit of MTG proxy cards is that they provide players with the opportunity to play with cards that have been banned or restricted from tournament play. This allows players to experience the full scope of the game without having to adhere to strict tournament rules.

MTG proxy cards are also popular among collectors who may want to own a complete set of cards without spending a fortune on rare or hard-to-find cards. Proxies offer a more affordable option to complete a collection, while still maintaining the visual appeal of the original cards.
