Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0: Tips and Tricks to Help You Win

Warzone 2.0 is upon us and it comes with a bunch of new changes and additions. Players who have been playing Warzone will feel familiar with the gameplay, but there is still a lot that everyone has to learn. Now is the perfect time to do so. With Warzone 2.0 just released, most of the player base will have to learn the map and get a feel for the new mechanics.

If you are looking for a beginner’s guide and tips that will help you in Warzone 2.0, then look no further, you have come to the right place. Let’s jump into some of the big things you need to know if you want to get your first win, either solo or with a squad.

Learn The Map

This is something that will develop over time. However, if you want to increase your situational awareness, you will need to know the map inside and out. A good way to learn it is by playing the new DMZ mode. You have the whole map to explore for 20+ minutes. Knowing the exact layout of the map will help in firefights. You will be able to navigate buildings easier and flank the enemy.

Complete Contracts

Contracts are small in-game objectives that you can complete for various rewards, like cash and XP. Cash is very important in Warzone 2.0, just like in the previous game. You will need cash to buy your primary weapons, UAVs, and to revive your teammates. So, make sure to always have some cash on you to buy something each time the circle closes in. Cracking safes is a good way to earn a lot of money and XP. It only takes a few minutes as well.

Search Strongholds and Black Sites

Strongholds are areas filled with computer-controlled AI. These areas are dangerous and are best done in a group. It is possible to do it solo, but you will get bombarded with enemies with riot shields and you must watch out for other players. However, the loot here is worth it. At this location, you can find a crate that allows you to access your full loadout. This includes all the equipment and perks. Since perks don’t drop at all, this is your only way to get them.

Black Sites are even harder versions of Strongholds. There is usually a boss here as well who drops very valuable items. Sometimes a Juggernaut is here and if killed you can use the minigun he has. You can find some killstreaks here as well. Good luck completing this solo.

Watch For Loadout Drops

Here is another way to receive your loadouts if you aren’t up to the task of taking on a Stronghold. Sometime later in the match, planes will drop several loadout crates around the area. All you must do is go to one of these crates and grab your loadout, simple as that. However, you have to be careful, because there is a good chance other enemies are coming there too. Some will even use it as bait, so watch yourself.

Play DMZ To Unlock Weapons Faster

Warzone 2.0 is free-to-play, meaning you don’t need Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to play it. However, playing multiplayer of Modern Warfare 2 is a good way to level up weapons and unlock others. However, there is another way to unlock weapons faster as well. DMZ mode is part of Warzone 2.0 and is also free. This mode is about completing objectives and extracting.

Here is the thing, any weapon you extract with you, will unlock it automatically. So you don’t need to try to level up other weapons to unlock them. Once it is extracted they are usable in DMZ, Warzone 2.0, and multiplayer.

Cut and Deploy Parachute for Quicker Landing

People have been using this method since the first Warzone. To fall faster, you can cut your parachute to drop and use another right after for some good maneuverability.

Plan Your Routes Around Buy Stations

Sometimes you will always be on the edge of the circle and always moving. When moving always try to plan around close Buy Stations. If you have the money, you can always grab a UAV or Armor Plate. Always be prepared for a fight, if not you will be in the Gulag or seeing the match progress screen.

Find Bigger Armor Vests and Backpacks

Finding these two items are essential if you want to make it to the final circle. You start with a vest that allows two plates to be put in. You can find a 3-plate Armor Vest that will allow you to put another plate in, increasing your defenses.

Backpacks work the same way. All players start with a small backpack that holds a limited amount of items. If you want to hold more items and weapons, then you will need to find a medium or large backpack.

Watch The Skies

Mortar Strikes and Precision Strikes are common in Warzone 2.0 and you should stay on your toes. These killstreaks cover a large area when called. The game will notify if one is called on your position, be sure to find a building and get inside.

This also applies to other enemy teams being redeployed. Players can be revived from the dead using a Buy Station and will be deployed from a plane in the sky. Be on the lookout because sometimes they can sneak up on you, even if all they have is a pistol.

Summary

Those are some of the big tips that you need to know if you want to ensure your victory. Warzone 2.0 is a lot bigger this time around and has a lot of activities to take part in. Those activities have great rewards but can be extremely dangerous. If you take your time and complete some objectives on the way, you will win your first match in no time. Most importantly, always remember to have fun.
