Sea of Thieves Season 10 Delayed to October

As of July 26, 2023, Rare, the developer of Sea of Thieves, has announced that the upcoming Season 10 for the game has been delayed to October. The delay was attributed to “unforeseen issues” that have made development more challenging than expected. Head of community, Christina McGrath, stated that the decision to delay the season was not taken lightly and cited the well-being of the development team and a desire for maintaining quality as the main reasons behind the postponement.

While Season 10’s official release date was not previously known, fans had anticipated its release in early August. However, there are still some exciting things to look forward to for Sea of Thieves players. In the meantime, three new Tall Tales will be released in July, August, and September as part of an ongoing collaboration with the Monkey Island franchise. Additionally, there will be several limited-time events, such as the Gold & Glory Weekend from August 4-7 and Legends Week (dates yet to be announced). Furthermore, there will be a community weekend in September.

Despite the delay, players can still enjoy new content and events to keep the excitement alive until Season 10’s release in October.
