Nintendo Will Not Be at E3 2023

We can confirm that reports are true, Nintendo won’t be attending this year’s highly anticipated Electronic Entertainment Expo. The Japanese gaming giant revealed that the event simply did not fit into its upcoming plans and will not be gracing the show floor.

Nintendo stated that their involvement in any event is determined on a case-by-case basis, always considering various ways to engage with fans. Unfortunately, this year’s E3 show didn’t align with their plans. Nevertheless, they remain a staunch supporter of the ESA and E3, and fans can look forward to more exciting news and events from the company.

According to IGN, none of the big three game publishers will be present at this year’s E3 event. Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have all opted out. Despite this setback, the event’s organizers, ReedPop, are determined to put on a great show and have promised to share more information on the show format and exhibitors soon.

Although Nintendo was present at the last in-person E3 event in 2019, the company has since shifted its focus to more virtual events. They held a successful virtual Direct during the 2021 event, and fans can expect them to continue engaging with them in new and exciting ways. Nintendo may even choose to host its own separate Direct event, coinciding with the other summer gaming shows.
