In Metroid Fusion, Samus has been weakened by an attack from the X parasite but saved by a vaccine made from Metroid DNA, the X parasite’s only natural predator. The X parasite has caused chaos and destruction throughout the facility, and players will collect power-ups like the Screw Attack and Wave Beam to strengthen their abilities. However, they must be cautious as the X parasite can mimic the abilities of what it infects, including Samus herself.
