As the winter holiday season continues, Pokemon GO players have a lot to look forward to with the upcoming Part 2 of the festivities. Niantic, the developer of the popular mobile game, has revealed exciting new events and content for Trainers to enjoy. From December 23 to December 31, there will be a plethora of holiday-themed features, including special Pokemon appearances, timed research tasks, and bonuses to enhance the gaming experience.

During the Winter Holiday event, Trainers will be delighted to find various Pokemon wearing holiday hats and ribbons. Eevee and its Evolutions, such as Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon, will be sporting their finest holiday-themed headwear. Additionally, Delibird, Cubchoo, and Beartic will be dressed in holiday ribbons, spreading joy and cheer. Pikachu will join the festivities by wearing a Winter Carnival outfit, adding a touch of merriment to the game.

New Pokemon Debut:

As part of the Winter Holiday Part 2 event, Pokemon GO Trainers will have the opportunity to encounter Hisuian Avalugg for the first time in the game. This majestic Ice and Fighting-type Pokemon will be featured in a special Raid Day on December 24, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time. Hisuian Avalugg is known for its impressive strength and resilience, making it a desirable addition to any Trainer’s lineup.

Choose Your Path with Timed Research:

Trainers will be able to embark on the “Winter Wishes” Timed Research during the event. This unique research offers different paths for Trainers to choose from, each focusing on a specific aspect of the game: catching Pokemon, hatching Eggs, or collecting Stardust. Completing the tasks within the chosen path will reward Trainers with bonuses and the chance to encounter Galarian Mr. Mime, a popular Pokemon from the Galar region. Meanwhile, those seeking enhanced rewards can also access additional event-exclusive Timed Research for a nominal fee, which includes exciting rewards such as an event-themed avatar pose, Incubators, Incense, Abomasnow Mega Energy, and encounters with special Pokemon.

Winter Wonderland Event:

To further celebrate the winter season, Pokemon GO will be hosting the Winter Wonderland event. From December 24 to December 25, Trainers can enjoy additional in-game bonuses. These include the ability to engage in one extra Special Trade per day and an additional 15 minutes of Daily Adventure Incense. By completing the Winter Wonderland Collection Challenge before the event concludes, Trainers can earn rewards such as an encounter with Galarian Mr. Mime, XP, and an Incense. Furthermore, Niantic has permanently increased the number of guaranteed Lucky Trades from 10 to 15. Trainers who trade Pokemon that have been stored since 2017 will have a guaranteed chance of obtaining a Lucky Pokemon, adding excitement to the trading aspect of the game.

Expanded Pokemon Lineup:

During the winter event, Trainers will discover a more diverse array of Pokemon appearing in the wild and hatching from Eggs. Pikachu wearing a Winter Carnival outfit and Eevee donning a holiday hat will be commonly encountered. Other Pokemon, such as Swinub, Delibird, Snorunt, Spheal, Snover, Vanillite, Cubchoo, and Bergmite, will also make appearances, adding a wintery charm to the game. Additionally, Alolan Sandshrew, Stantler, and Cryogonal may be encountered by lucky players.

Exciting Raid Battles:

Raid battles offer thrilling opportunities to challenge powerful Pokemon, and the winter holiday event is no exception. Trainers can participate in raids featuring various Pokemon of different levels. One-star raids include Pikachu wearing a Winter Carnival outfit, Alolan Sandshrew, Eevee wearing a holiday hat, Galarian Darumaka, and Cubchoo wearing a holiday ribbon. Three-star raids offer more challenging battles against Pokemon like Cloyster, Lapras, Delibird wearing a holiday ribbon, and Glaceon wearing an Undersea Holiday outfit. For Trainers seeking even greater challenges, the legendary Pokemon Kyurem awaits in five-star raids. Additionally, Mega Glalie will appear for a limited time in Mega Raids, presenting a unique opportunity to battle and potentially catch this formidable Pokemon.

Special Attacks and Field Research:

During the event, Kyurem caught between December 23 and January 1 will know the exclusive attack Glaciate. This powerful move has varying effects in Trainer battles, gyms, and raids, allowing players to strategize and improve their chances of victory.

Field Research tasks are an integral part of Pokemon GO, offering rewards and exciting encounters.
