Hades 2 was officially announced at The Game Awards and will send players back to the world of the original. Developer Supergiant Games is set to welcome players to try Hades 2 via Early Access in 2023.
Unlike the first Hades game, Hades 2 features a female protagonist, Melinoë, who is Zagreus’ sister and is called the Princess of the Underworld.
Hades was one of my — and many other people’s — favorite games of 2020, and I am looking forward to playing whatever Supergiant has cooked up for the sequel.
Onstage, TGA host Geoff Keighley said Hades II would be available in Early Access, just like the first game was. According to Supergiant Games’ YouTube channel, details about the Early Access will be shared in 2023.
You can wishlist the game now for PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store, and in an FAQ, Supergiant says that it expects to bring the game to console platforms.
