Embrace the Gaming Love: Lies of P’s Valentine’s Day Crossover DLC with Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Celebrate Valentine’s Day in true gamer style by indulging in Lies of P’s crossover DLC with Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty! No romantic strings attached, just pure gaming joy.

Valentine’s Day is approaching fast, much like a challenging boss in a soulslike game itching for a fight. While the connection between Valentine’s Day and soulslike games might not seem obvious at first glance, Koei Tecmo and Neowiz have teamed up to bring players a special treat with a Lies of P/Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty crossover DLC event, set to drop on February 14.

In this exciting update, Lies of P players will receive a bundle of Wo Long-themed equipment, including the formidable Azure Dragon Crescent Glaive weapon, the resilient Armor of the Honorable, and the stylish Bandana of the Honorable. Check out the video above to see these new additions in action – because nothing says “I love you” quite like wielding an ancient Chinese polearm against formidable foes.

This collaboration marks the second part of the crossover event, following the initial release last September, which introduced Lies of P’s Puppet Sabre and “Etiquette” umbrella into Koei Tecmo’s Three Kingdoms era hack ‘n’ slash. These weapons are also available in the game’s Complete Edition, ensuring that players can enjoy the full crossover experience.

But the excitement doesn’t end there for Lies of P fans. In November, developer Neowiz teased upcoming expansion content with images showcasing previously unseen locations, such as a laboratory and a ship. Additionally, Neowiz has confirmed that a sequel is in the works, building on the success of the original game, which sold over a million copies in less than a month. With its gritty Pinocchio narrative and unique gameplay, Lies of P has certainly earned its place in the hearts of gamers.

While there are no plans for a Wo Long sequel from Koei Tecmo, the game has also enjoyed considerable success, selling over a million copies itself. Critics have praised Wo Long as an “exceptionally accomplished evolution” of the soulslike formula, indicating that the genre continues to thrive. So, as we gear up for Valentine’s Day, it’s clear that there’s still plenty of love to go around for soulslike games – making this crossover event a fitting celebration for gamers everywhere.
