Actor Lance Reddick Dies at 60: A Look Back at His Career Highlights

We are deeply saddened to report the passing of Lance Reddick, a highly esteemed actor who has left an unforgettable mark on TV and film. He was 60 years old. TMZ was first to break the news, citing natural causes as the cause of his passing, which his representatives later confirmed.

Reddick was known for his role as Cedrick Daniels in the acclaimed HBO series, The Wire. He was in the middle of a promotional tour for the fourth installment of the John Wick franchise, where he portrayed the character of Charon, when he passed away. Though he did not attend the New York City premiere of the movie, Reddick posted a video on social media from home, featuring his dogs.

Lance Reddick had a prolific career in TV and film, with recurring roles in popular shows such as Fringe, Bosch, Oz, and Lost. He also made appearances in blockbuster movies, such as Angel Has Fallen and Godzilla Vs. Kong. Apart from his onscreen work, he was also a well-known voice actor for many video games, with a long-standing role as Commander Zavala in the Destiny franchise. He lent his voice to several other games, including Horizon series, Quantum Break, and John Wick Hex.

Reddick had several projects in the pipeline, including his upcoming role as the Greek god Zeus in the Disney+ series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Lance Reddick was a gifted musician, with a music degree from the University of Rochester. He went on to earn his MFA from Yale before embarking on his acting career.
