Wow TBC Classic – What To Expect

Just in case you’ve been completely oblivious to the series up until this point, let us educate you. World of Warcraft since its genesis in 2006 has fast become the biggest and most recognizable MMORPG to ever grace the medium of gaming. The title has since its first release had eight incredible expansions, adding more depth, lore, and content to the already excellent title. The most recent was, of course, the very well-received expansion, Shadowlands. However, despite Blizzard’s constant forward momentum which has kept this series going strong for all those years. The series has recently been looking back fondly at its earlier content.

Blizzard released WoW Classic not too long ago, which allowed players to engage with the original content from the original title and relive former glories. This release was unanimously appreciated by fans of the series and due to this, Blizzard decided to commit to bringing back the second expansion in the form of The Burning Crusade Classic.

What Will Be Available in TBC Classic?

Much like its predecessor WoW Classic, TBC Classic will grant players access to the original quest content from the expansion, raids such as Karazhan and Ghuul’s Lair, flying mounts, the initial stages of end game gear, access to iconic areas like the Hellfire Peninsula and Nagrand. Plus, you’ll get reacquainted with the Blood Elves and The Horde all over again. In short, the title aims to offer all the best parts of the expansion while refining and polishing the aspects that perhaps made the original less enjoyable.

While we all like to believe that our favorite games of old are perfect. In the harsh light of 2021, some games simply don’t stand up to scrutiny. Thankfully, Blizzard knows this and has added some excellent content to WoW TBC. Fans will have access to Arena PVP battles where players will be able to manage in 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 brawls. Plus, the game will use the most modern and up-to-date matchmaking system so that every match is fair and doesn’t take an age to begin.

Can I Keep My Character from WoW Classic?

The simple answer is yes but it does depend on how you intend to enjoy WoW TBC. If you want to continue with your WoW classic build, you can clone your character for a small fee and you will retain your level 60 status. However, if you wish to play as a Blood Elf or a Draenei, you will have to start from scratch. However, the good news is that if you choose the latter, you will have an accelerated leveling curve, making things a little more balanced.

So that’s our preview on what to expect when WoW TBC drops later this year? What do you make of this proposed expansion? Do you think that Blizzard will do The Burning Crusade justice? Or do you think that Blizzard should focus on bringing new properties to the fans? Let us know in the comments section below and as always, thank you for reading Culture of Gaming.
