New Mega Stones have been released for Pokémon Sun and Moon. The four new Mega Stones are the latest in a series of Mega Stone releases by Nintendo following the end of the Weakness Cup, Pokémon’s latest competition. They grant players the power to Mega Evolve Ampharos, Altaria, Latios, and Latias in battle. The shared code word is DRACHE.
This follows numerous other Mega Stone gifts in the past, with previous code words distributing four Mega Stones not normally found in-game. This is also the first time an end date for these events has been announced, with all Mega Stone codes due to stop working on October 31st.
This is not the only event on the horizon for Pokémon players: Ash Cap Pikachu code distribution is beginning on September 19 on Pokémon’s official website, but you can only choose one of the six Cap Pikachu. These Pikachu have different move sets based on what Ash’s Pikachu learned in each saga. Likely they’ll match the Cap Pikachu distributed in Japan earlier this year.
On top of this, a QR code will be given out to those that see the new Pokémon movie in special showings worldwide. This QR code contains the special “I Choose You” Pikachu and can only be redeemed in the upcoming Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Marshadow will also be distributed in the US from October 9th to 23rd through Gamestop and in Europe from October 1st to November 14th to selected retailers, along with the Marshadium Z.
