With the first day of Tokyo Games Show having wrapped up, we see some awesome trailers, fun commentary, and amazing gameplay.

The PlayStation event started strong showing off trailers, 52 in fact, as well as a short ad for the newest PlayStation Classic which is slated for release December 3, 2018. PlayStation showed off gameplay for Dreams, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, and Days Gone. With guests Shiina Natsukawa and Momo Asakura, the voice actresses of Anna Mochizuki and Serika Hakozaki from the mobile game iDOLM@STER MILLION LIVE! talking about the PlayStation Network and showing off special features. The theme of which was called “Our PlayStation Network Life.”

Our PlayStation Network Life

This was fun, watching various differences between the two actresses. They searched and played through their various Spotify song lists, including American song artists, anime OST, along with others. PS Now, was also shown, along with their PS+ program and what you get if you sign up. There was a small song performance by Asakura at the end that just sounded great! I couldn’t find her singing in the video, but they might have excluded it for YouTube. Side note: There was an update that now allows PS Now subscribers to actively download and play PS4 and PS2 games instead of having the need to directly stream them. This is perfect for those with shoddy internet connections who would rather play with no lag time. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be covered for PS3 games, but we can only hope this comes later.

PlayStation showed off a cute sandbox game called Dreams (Dreams Universe in Japan), from video game developer Media Molecule. It’s from the same people who brought us Little Big Planet. Does this game look amazing? It looks beautiful! It’s a PS4 exclusive with a release date still to be announced but slated for later this year.

Black Ops 4

Black Ops 4. From developer Treyarch, was also shown being played by two teams of gamers, with guest streamer k4sen. This multiplayer FPS game is definitely one to look out for in the coming weeks. A release date is scheduled for Oct 12, 2,018 for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

Days Gone

Lastly, we have Days Gone, an action-adventure survival-horror game set in a post-apocalyptic world. From the developer SIE Bend Studio, this game really does look amazing. All buildings can be searched, same with most vehicles. Perhaps one of my favorites coming out early next year Feb 22, 2019.

There are way too many to even list here, but some notables include, Kill-X, Project Awakening, Knives Out, Devil May Cry 5, Déraciné, Anthem, Mega Man 11 (Rockman in Japan), Earth Defense Force, Kingdom Hearts 3, and even Red Dead Redemption 2, along with so many others yet to release. It was a wealth of fun just watching every single trailer pop up on screen simultaneously. I will link to a few trailers on the official YouTube channel down below. Please check out their main channel as it has all the updated clips and trailers from their TGS Live Event.
