The Witcher 3 Will Release On The Nintendo Switch Later This Year

The Witcher 3: Complete Edition was announced during the E3 Nintendo Direct to release on the Nintendo Switch later this year.

The Witcher fans will be pleased to know that the third installment is coming to the Nintendo Switch. This was announced at the Nintendo Direct at E3 this year in a short teaser trailer. A release date wasn’t announced alongside the trailer, but it has been confirmed for later this year. The Witcher 3 will release in the Complete Edition, which includes the Hearts of Stone, the Blood and Wine expansions, and every other piece of DLC that has previously been released.

This is CD Projekt Red’s first game that will be released on a Nintendo console. Although there are clear downgrades from the Switch port compared to the PS4 release, this is a huge accomplishment for the developers. The Witcher 3 was originally released in 2015, and since then has won many awards, such as the Game Award for the Game of The Year and the Best Role Playing Game in 2015. Many fans consider this to be one of the greatest RPGs of this current generation and the best title in The Witcher series. The Witcher 3 has also received a Metacritic score of 92 for the PS4, 93 for the PC, and 91 for the Xbox One.

Culture of Gaming‘s very own Mike Szoke commented on The Witcher series saying that it “is praised for its deep, engaging narrative and characters, as well as the third game for its rich, unique combat system that mixes minor spell casting with some of the smoothest third person swordplay in all of gaming. You will grow to care deeply about the characters you surround yourself with, no matter who you choose to focus on.” You can read the rest of his review here.
