CD Projekt Red have informed the Polish Publication Bankier what the current and future state of Cyberpunk is. The pre-orders for Cyberpunk 2077 have already surpassed the pre-orders for The Witcher 3, according to company President Adam Kiciński. The CEO also mentioned that the digital pre-orders are “very strong” in the Chinese market, which is promising for the release.
Cyberpunk 2077 Development
Three different teams are developing CD Projekt Red‘s ambitious game. CD Projekt Red told Bankier that one team is currently working on the main game, one is working on its multiplayer, and the other is working on something else. Kiciński mentioned that the team working on the multiplayer portion is located in Wroclaw and consists of 40 people. CD Projekt Red‘s Vice President, Piotr Nielubowicz, commented that “Our next big project will also be in the Cyberpunk universe, and we’re already working on it and treating it as a really big and innovative project for us”. This is exciting news for CD Projekt Red fans, and for those who are looking forward to 2077.
It is to be expected that Cyberpunk 2077 will be CD Projekt Red‘s largest game up to this date. The Playstation 4 store revealed that it will be at least 80 GB. This is huge, in comparison to The Witcher 3‘s game size, as it was 31 GB (excluding DLC).
