A Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remaster release date was leaked yesterday prior to any official announcement. While the surprise is spoiled now, the official announcement of the game came today to show off this beloved first-person shooter entry into the genre. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered is out today for PS4 owners. It’s available with 4K and HDR capabilities, Xbox One and PC versions will be released on April 30 after the exclusivity window ends.
Is It Worth It?
Currently, this is just a remaster of the Modern Warfare 2 campaign. There are no multiplayer modes or original maps included. Modern Warfare still holds one of the best cinematic campaigns in the series franchise with amazing set pieces, and the controversial No Russian mission. You take the lead as Soap and Captain Price to put an end to Makarov’s plan for global war.
Honestly, the story still holds up if you played 2016’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. There’s a reason Soap and Price keep coming back as fan favorites in the franchise. This duo of games cemented their characters as badass military agents who would go at any lengths to bring justice to evil masterminds.
Also by buying this version, you get an exclusive Underwater Demo Team Classic Ghost for 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which recently released Warzone as a free-to-play battle royale standalone. This bundle includes a UDT Ghost Operator skin, two weapon blueprints, a new finishing move, an animated calling card, and more.
