Rumour: Okami HD Coming to PC and Console

Okami HD is rumoured to be painting itself onto PC, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.

According to a new Korean ratings board listing, Okami HD may not be too far off. News is circulating that we could see it as early as the holiday season. Rumours of a potential Okami port began to appear last month when two retail chains listed Okami HD in their internal release calendars dated for December 12, Kotaku UK reported.

Okami was first released in 2006 for the Playstation 2, where it was critically and universally acclaimed for its style and loveable lupine protagonist, Amaterasu. It has been remastered twice since then, with a 2008 port to the Wii and a 2012 port to Playstation 3.

This certainly isn’t the first time the Korean ratings board has leaked an upcoming release. Capcom has also expressed interest back in 2015 about re-releasing HD remasters of its titles. They’ve been successful with re-releases thus far. Resident Evil Revelations was released on PS4 and Xbox One at the end of August, and Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen is set to hit both consoles on October 3.

Widely regarded as one of the best games ever made, Okami currently retails for 13.99USD. More news on this rumour will come as soon as we know it.
