Sad news for those who were expecting a new Batman Arkham game reveal at E3 this year. Rocksteady have been rumored to be developing the next sequel for the Arkham series for quite some time now. Ever since Batman Arkham Knight‘s release back in 2015, Rocksteady have been confirmed to be working on something new. This comes from multiple job listings on their website, and tweets from the Rocksteady co-founder, Stefton Hill. In which, Hill himself had confirmed that Rocksteady will not be attending E3 this year.
Hi all! A number of you have asked so we wanted to let you all know up front that @Rocksteadygames won’t be showing at E3 this year. We’ll be watching as fans but remaining in London, hard at work on our next big project. Enjoy the show!

It is possible that Rocksteady is not developing an Arkham game at all. The developers have not confirmed or denied that a sequel is on the way, and Arkham Knight seemed to be the last chapter in the series. So what are these jobs listings for? Well, it is unclear at this point. All we do know is that it definitely isn’t a Superman game. Which was also confirmed by Sefton Hill last year, before the 2018 Game Awards.
There are also rumors that an Arkham game is being developed by WB Games Montréal, who developed Batman: Arkham Origins. This comes from multiple tweets from the staff supposedly teasing an Arkham game with the Court of Owls logo. The Court of Owls are a secret society that’s been in Gotham for many years. Once again, these are just rumors, and both developers might be working on games that are not related to DC Comics at all.
