Resident Evil 7 Gets Gold Edition + New DLC

Go Tell Aunt Rhody…

If you were one of those that waited to pick up Resident Evil 7 this year, you may want to wait just a little bit longer. Capcom announced Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition.

Gold Edition is like other “Game of the Year”-esque editions that include the base game as well as all of the downloadable content, including Banned Footage Vol. 1, Banned Footage Vol. 2, and the upcoming End of Zoe, which will release alongside the Gold Edition for those who already own Resident Evil 7. This expansion is described as a “shocking installment” where players will learn of the fate of Zoe following the events of the main game. The DLC will also take players through new swamp environments, and engage new enemy types. Season pass owners will receive this for free. Otherwise, players will be able to purchase it for $15.

Not only will the End of Zoe expansion release alongside the Gold Edition, but so will the delayed Not a Hero DLC. This expansion, originally dated for a spring release, was delayed so that it could match the high quality of the main game, according to the game’s director Koshi Nakanishi. This expansion stars Resident Evil veteran Chris Redfield, who will have to face the horrors and monstrosities within the Baker’s mansion. The Not a Hero DLC will be a free expansion.

Resident Evil 7: Gold Edition, as well as the last two expansions, will release on December 12th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Watch the announcement trailer below and let us know what you think about the Gold Edition.
