Details about the newest season of content for Rainbow Six: Siege, Operation Blood Orchid, has been leaked via 4Chan and Reddit posts today. The leaks reveal all three operators names and abilities. The operation begins on August 29 for season pass holders, and September 5 for all players, and will feature one new map in Hong Kong.
A 4Chan post was released on the website yesterday, showing images for one of the new operators, however only the character image was detailed, leaving any information about the abilities unknown, until later today when a user on Reddit leaked all of the information ahead of the reveal for the Pro League Finals on August 26, 2017.
Hong Kong defender Lesion’s main ability, GU, enables him to inject other players with a toxic substance through mines that causes its opponents damage and limited speed. The Hong Kong attacker, Ying, carries a set of flash charges known as Candela, that is able to be attached to walls and other surfaces, or thrown as a projectile. Finally, the Polish defender, Ela, uses the Grzmot mine, a concussion proximity that can be put on reinforced walls and impair the senses such as hearing and sight, making the player dizzy.
While the details for the operators have not been confirmed by Ubisoft, the leaked images are consistent in style with other operators, providing some legitimacy to the leaks.
Rainbow Six: Siege was originally released on December 1, 2015 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. The game has become increasingly popular, especially in Esports, with several leagues participating in tournaments. Ubisoft has outlined plans to continue supporting the game for a substantial amount of time.
