New information has come out about the upcoming season 7 for Pokémon Unite, including the new battle pass, new events and new holowear.

Pokémon Unite Season 7: New Battle Pass, New Holowear, New Events

Season 7 of Pokémon Unite launches tomorrow April the 28th, but some information regarding the update has come out today. This includes some of what’s featured in the new battle pass, the new rewards for the upcoming ranked season, new holowear coming to the game, and even a new subscription service.

Please note: All this information has been translated from the Official Pokémon Unite Japanese website, so some names and information may be incorrect. We will update this post if there are any specific updates.

This new Pokémon Unite battle pass seems to be completely focused on Japan, specifically on feudal Japan.

One of the main events listed on the website for the start of the new season seems to be some sort of flower watering event. This may be similar to the daily login events of this season, where each day grants a new reward – in this case, tickets, coins, and item enhancers.

Another event appears to be a simple trade-in shop, where the player can trade coins that look like sakura blossoms for various items. The most important of which is a new holowear for Trevenant, once again dressed in Japanese robes and attire. There also appears to be another outfit for Eldegoss, an elegant number with a massive pink hat, but how this is acquired is unknown at this time.

In addition to that, there appears to be a new monthly event coming to the game in the form of ‘Pokémon Unite Day’, which will be held this time on May 7th and 8th. This event features all Pokemon being playable for the duration of the event, sales on holowear, an increase in aeos coin gain, and an increase in aoes energy for more energy tank rewards. It seems that this will be a reoccurring thing each month.

New Ranked Season

Another ranked season has come to Pokémon Unite and with it comes new rewards.

The outfit players can receive this time is an orange alteration of the previous 2 ranked outfits, complete with matching banner frames, banner backgrounds, and stickers.

Mamoswine gets a swanky new knight-themed holowear for reaching rank Expert, much like last season’s orchestra-themed Tsareena. This will be available to get for the entirety of this ranked season. Simply hit Expert and the holoware should be yours.

New Subscription Service?

Something players were not expecting from this update is a new subscription service to the game. This cost is optional and not required, but it does not include the seasonal battle pass so each will have to be bought separately.

This new subscription service will include the following features:

  • -Get a new special ‘Holowear of the Month’ (this month appears to be Greedant).
  • -Gain access to two Unite License Trials, which rotate every 2 weeks.
  • -Gain access to two kinds of holowear to try out, similarly for 2 weeks.
  • -Chat balloons (?) and membership exclusive icon frames (like the ones received from the highest tier of holowear).
  • -A 10% discount on certain items of trainer fashion.
  • -40 Gems every day, totalling around 1200 for each month

The first-time player’s purchase this service, they will also receive the ‘Hoopa Set’ trainer fashion item.

This subscription service will cost around ¥1,150 (or around about $10).

A few notes; the service automatically renews if not cancelled, you can continue to use items gained from the service even after cancelling, and if you play on both smartphone and Nintendo Switch it seems that you can only receive rewards on the platform you purchased the service on (the items can be used on all platforms after receiving them).

The subscription service is set to launch at some point in the near future.

Season 7 of Pokémon Unite is set to launch on the 28th of April. Pokémon Unite is available for free now on Nintendo Switch and smartphones.
