Pokémon Presents Reveals New Pokémon Snap, Pokémon Café Mix, and More

The Pokémon Company has just released its previously announced presentation titled Pokémon Presents to highlight upcoming Pokémon-related games and products. In it, we saw various new games such as New Pokémon Snap, along with new additions to existing products like Pokémon GO.

The presentation began with the debut of a new smartphone application called Pokémon Smile, in which children are able to capture Pokémon by brushing their teeth and eliminating bacteria. It seems that children can also wear various Pokémon-themed hats and outfits while brushing their teeth through the app. Pokémon Smile is currently available on Android and IOS.

Pokémon Café Mix

A new puzzle game called Pokémon Café Mix was also shown, where you play as a café owner while attempting to complete various orders for Pokémon that visit. To do so, you will have to complete various puzzles by linking Pokémon icons of the same species together in a circular motion to clear them out. By completing orders, you can recruit some customer Pokémon to work on your staff, which will provide you with special skills that aid with future puzzles. Completing orders also allows you to expand your café, which in turn attracts more Pokémon. While we didn’t receive confirmation of an official release date, Pokémon Café Mix will be free-to-start and will be available for preload on Nintendo Switch and preregister on IOS and Android today.

Perhaps the most exciting announcement for most, a new entry to the Pokémon Snap series titled New Pokémon Snap, is currently in the works. This new game seems to take the same on-rails-shooter mechanics of its predecessor and adds new environments and new Pokémon from all generations. New Pokémon Snap will release on Nintendo Switch, with no official date announced.

Mega Evolution will arrive to Pokémon GO sometime in 2020. In related news, Galarian Farfetch’d, and new clothing items tied to the new Pokémon Sword and Shield DLC will become available today as well.
