Niantic has decided to celebrate the beginning of summer with a week full of special raids in Pokémon Go. According to the official Pokémon Go News Site, not only will raid tiers change from normal, but players will also have the ability to earn double the amount of Stardust and XP during the entire week by participating in said raids. This event will last from May 21st at 4 P.M. ET to May 28 at 4 P.M. ET and will have the raid tiers change to the following:
- T1: Machop, Slakoth, Shinx, Bronzor
- T2: Misdreavus, Kirlia, Mawile, Feebas, Clamperl, Bibarel
- T3: Alolan Raichu, Chansey, Scyther, Aerodactyl, Floatzel
- T4: Alolan Marowak, Dragonite, Tyranitar, Absol, Metagross
Along with the new raids, players will have the opportunity to catch a shiny bronzor throughout the week. There will also be a special raid hour on May 22nd from 6 P.M. to 7 P.M. local time that will increase the amount of raids for all tiers for a limited time.
On top of all this, Niantic will host a Lapras Raid Day for the Americas, Greenland, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India on May 25th from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. local time and on May 26th from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. local time in the Asia-Pacific. During this, Lapras raids will increase and players will receive up to five raid passes for free in order to participate. Shiny Lapras spawns will also occur during the event.
