Phantasy Star Online 2 Coming To PC, Cross play with Xbox

Sega’s beloved Phantasy Star sequel made its way to Xbox One consoles on Game Pass. Xbox One players have been enjoying Phantasy Star Online 2 and now has a confirmed release date for PC. Phantasy Star Online 2 is coming to PC on May 27th, 2020. The game comes out next week and Sega confirmed that it will have cross-play with Xbox players.

The game was first teased by Xbox’s E3 event coming to Xbox first alongside a beta and officially released on April 15th. Phantasy Star Online 2 is a game that released in Japan in July 2012. US players have been clamoring for the sequel to release in the US but never did. Now there are several new communities rallying behind the game. While it came out to mixed reviews, it still lives up to the mechanics that fans of the first wanted.

“We’re thrilled to announce the long-awaited arrival on PC,” said Fred White, PSO2 TEAM North America’s Head of Marketing in a prepared statement. “There’s a loud and passionate PC fanbase who has been patiently waiting for the North American version – we can’t wait to welcome them in. There will be login bonuses waiting for them with more surprises planned in the coming months.”

Phantasy Star Online 2 is exclusive launching on Windows 10 store only and no mention if it will release on Steam or Epic Games Store.
