Our Most Anticipated Games For E3 2019 | Culture of Gaming

With E3 coming soon. We at Culture Of Gaming thought it would be fun to discuss our most anticipated games whether they are rumors or not.

With E3 2019 drawing closer, we thought it would be fun to talk about our most anticipated games. I asked everyone at Culture of Gaming to put forth their thoughts and opinions and these are the results.

Cyberpunk 2077

I think it’s safe to say that this game is the most anticipated title for a lot of people. Out of all the titles to come out in the future, this game seems to be the grandest and most exciting of them all. CD Projekt Red is planning to make this year’s E3 their most important showcase yet according to CFO Piotr Nielubowicz.

The massive sci-fi open world RPG is looking to set the gaming world on fire with its innovative gameplay and seamless, yet diverse narrative. Many gamers are itching to get a release date for Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 this year. Ever since the release of The Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red’s reputation has reached the same level as top-tier developers like Naughty Dog and Rockstar Games. Expectations are higher than they’ve ever been for a CD Projekt game. However, we are certain that we won’t be disappointed by this massive cybernetic adventure.

To hear more about this game, I recommend checking out VaatiVidya’s video on the unannounced project.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

I still remember the day when Square Enix and PlayStation revealed what seemed impossible during E3 2015 — a remake of Final Fantasy VII. Gamers all over the world got excited and anticipated the day we’d get more information. But after years of silence, people even began to suspect that the game was cancelled due to a restated development shift.

However, Sony recently re-revealed the game again at their last State of Play live stream and promised to show more at this year’s E3. The switch from the original’s turn-based gameplay to a more real-time action style similar to Final Fantasy XV has some fans concerned. That aside, the massive graphical upgrade and the narrative reimagined for the next-gen gaming world has most fans excited. In addition, some leaks hint at the possibility of things like a seamless world. You can check out the rest of the leaks for yourselves here.

Square Enix’s Marvel’s Avengers Project

While we’re on the subject of Square Enix, they’ve had another game in development that we are hyped for. Square Enix and Crystal Dynamic have revealed in the past that they are working on an Avengers game. With Avengers: Endgame releasing to international acclaim, now seems like it would be the best time to reveal more details about the project. Who wouldn’t want to play as some of their favourite Marvel superheroes like Ironman, Captain America, Thor and The Hulk?

While we have no idea what type of game this game is, there have been some leaks and rumours, some claiming it be a third-person action adventure game. I think the reason most people are excited about this game is the title, The Avengers. The Avengers has become a worldwide phenomenon, and with with the recent success of recent superhero games such as the Batman Arkham series, Spider-Man for the PS4 and the Injustice series, fans hope for an awesome Avengers game. We just have to wait and see if Square Enix will have anything to show during their E3 press conference this year.

Rocksteady’s Rumoured DC Game

Now, this one is a personal hope of mine. Rocksteady has grown to be a beloved game studio thanks to their Batman Arkham series reinstating the superhero genre for video games. It’s been over 3 years since Rocksteady’s last title, Batman: Arkham VR, so many gamers and comic fans including myself have been waiting each year for a new announcement from Rocksteady. There have been rumours all over the Internet of what Rocksteady could possibly be working on. This includes a Superman game, a Suicide Squad game, a Green Arrow game, and even a new Batman game.

There’s a chance that Rocksteady is working on a Justice League game based on leaks and teases on the internet. There were Easter eggs in Arkham Knight that directly referenced my favourite superhero of all time, Superman. In addition, a recently employed Rocksteady dev, Eddie Stubbington, might have revealed Rocksteady‘s plan on Twitter. He made a tweet announcing his employment and displayed an image of the Justice League which he later changed. It would be so exciting to play as some of favourite DC heroes including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman. It would also be an interesting rival to Square Enix’s Avengers game. Who better to make a AAA Justice League then Rocksteady who perfectly depicted what it’s like to be Batman in a video game? We just have to cross our fingers and see if it comes true.

That’s all we have time for today but we do have some honourable mentions we’d like to be acknowledged.

  • Halo Infinite
  • Possible Dino Crisis remake
  • Watch Dogs 3
  • Possible new Splinter Cell Game
  • Pokemon Sword and Shield
  • Harry Potter: Magic Awakened
  • Star Wars Jedi: Fall Order

So, those are Culture of Gaming‘s most anticipated games for E3 2019.
