Tekken 7 is adding another guest character to it’s expanding roster. Noctis from Final Fantasy XV will be making the trip and he’s packing his Engine Blade. The news comes a special announcement straight from the Tekken World Tour Finals.
Noctis joins Akuma and Geese Howard as the third guest character to come to Tekken 7. Noctis seems to have many of his signature moves and looks to be transitioning well into the 3D fighter.
We get to see some interesting combos and attacks, unfortunately his damage output was not shown as he is still early in development. It also appears that he will be able to use magic. Aside from slashing and throwing is sword, he also teleports frequently and is shown using off some magic during throws. If he is anything like the other guest fighters, Noctis should bring over something unique from his respective game.
While it comes as a bit of a surprise announcement, it’s also important to note that Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 was a guest character in the most recent Super Smash Brothers, a game that Bandai Namco also worked on. Check out Noctis in action below.
There are very little details surrounding Noctis, including a release date. All we know know is that he will be coming sometime during Spring 2018. Noctis will be available to everyone who has purchased the season pass, it’s unclear if he will be purchasable a la carte.
Tekken 7 is available right now for Ps4, Xbox One, and PC where it stands out as an excellent fighting game for both newcomers and veterans of the series.
