New Direct Incoming!

We’re starting to roll into the holiday season and Nintendo announced a new Nintendo Direct this week.  On September 13 at 6 pm EST, Nintendo will share information for upcoming Switch and 3DS games.  With games coming this Fall, there will also be new details about Super Mario Odyssey.

While the company did not explicitly reveal which games they are covering, other than Super Mario Odyssey, there are a couple of games that we expect will make an appearance. We know that Fire Emblem Warriors, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Metroid: Samus Return, Pokken Tournament DX, and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions are slated for this holiday. The Nintendo Direct will most likely cover all these games with a small update or new little nugget of info. The games that we know the least about are Fire Emblem Warriors and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and this direct might show plenty of new information regarding any features or possible Amiibo functionality.

Rumors and speculations also mention that we might get a possible tease or showcase of Animal Crossing for smartphones.  This is only speculation at this point, and nothing is official.  During Apple’s year press conference last year, Nintendo made history by announcing their first mobile game: Super Mario Run.
