Details surrounding new monsters were circling in early February. Now an official release date has been given for the two new monsters coming to Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. This will be the third free DLC made available for any players who already own the Iceborne expansion. The new monsters DLC will release on March 23rd for Xbox One and PS4. With release for the PC being in April. A trailer giving a quick preview of the two monsters was also shown via the original announcement. Here it is if you missed it.
The two monsters on offer are the Raging Brachydios and Furious Rajang. These are updated versions of beasts from past Monster Hunter games. Through these adaptions of popular monsters, Capcom are set to offer a new challenge to loyal players of the popular title. The two monsters are stronger variations of existing monsters in Monster Hunter World. The Raging Brachydios is a fire wyvern-type monster with powerful area-of-effect abilities. Whilst the Furious Rajang is an electric ape creature that aims to slam down on players from above.
While it is unclear where players can find these monsters within the game. It is assumed that they will probably only be available after completing the main story. It seems that Capcom wants to keep challenging veteran players by releasing these end-game monsters. Hopefully through these constant updates and quality of life enhancements to the game. Capcom will continue to give players reasons to go back to the game. Even two years after its original release date.
