Nintendo and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Director Masahiro Sakurai have just announced the newest character that will join the popular fighting game as the first DLC fighter in the second Fighter’s Pass. Min Min is coming to Smash!
As previously announced, a presentation hosted by Sakurai himself revealed fan-favorite Min Min as the representative for Nintendo’s other fighting game, ARMS. As for the reasoning behind the choice, Sakurai mentioned that ARMS Director Kosuke Yabuki specifically requested for Min Min. The presentation then showed a trailer with all the ARMS fighters competing for the Smash invitation, with Min Min emerging victorious.
Along with the new character, players will receive a new stage based on Spring Stadium, where fighters can bounce off special platforms that provide more height and inflict damage to others. 18 remixed songs from ARMS will also come bundled in with the Spring Stadium stage.
The presentation also revealed new Mii costume fighters, such as Heihachi from Tekken and Vault Boy from the Fallout series. New Amiibo figures for Persona 5’s Joker and Dragon Quest XI’s Hero will also become available sometime in Fall 2020.
She enters the roster as the first fighter from the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2. The first Fighters Pass included various surprise characters like Banjo and Kazooie from Banjo-Kazooie and Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury, so future fighters have high expectations from fans. Min Min will become available on June 29th for $5.99 individually, or for $29.99 as part of the Super Smash. Bros Ultimate Fighters Pass Vol. 2.
