Patch 5.2 Details

In XIV’s past patch notes, screenshots of the new dungeon were released, and fans have been eagerly awaiting the new Qitari Beast Tribe Quests. The new trial (Normal and Extreme) will likely be Ruby Weapon (source), and the Eden’s Verse Raids (Eden Normal and Savage 5-9, more than likely) will offer new challenges for players to overcome. The Ishgardian Restoration will continue to develop so that lifeskill-oriented players can continue to level their Crafters and Gatherers (it looks like DoH and DoL is getting yet another update!)

In addition to all of this, returning players can participate in the Callback Campaign, available from Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 12:00 a.m. to Monday, February 17, 2020 at 12:00 a.m. (PDT). This campaign permits active players to right-click a player in their friends list and select “Invite Friend to Return”. If  your friend meets the requirements of the campaign, they will receive an e-mail indicating you wish to invite them back to play Final Fantasy XIV. Note: Players you have invited to return must have a service account that has been inactive for at least 90 days (including the free play period). Those who fail to meet this requirement will not receive an e-mail even if they have been invited to return. Players to be invited to return must have purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV to their service account.
