It’s been a hundred long days since Bethesda launched Fallout 76 last November. It’s been a rough road for the online-only post-apocalyptic game, but today marks good news for those searching for more to do in the West Virginia wasteland.
Fallout 76‘s 2019 roadmap details what is in store for those who are still looting the scorched earth. The roadmap provides players with a look into three big free updates, starting with Wild Appalachia on March 12th. The first update will bring new quests, along with a new seasonal event, the Fasnacht Parade. According to Bethesda.net players will “chase away Old Man Winter and quicken the coming of spring with the ancient festival of Fasnacht!”. Survival mode will also be added, “This all-new game mode brings a higher-stakes PvP experience with fewer restrictions, increased rewards”. You can check out the image below for details on everything coming to the Wild Appalachia DLC below.
Nuclear Winter is set for Summer 2019. This DLC is also the name of a new mode which is, “An entirely new way to play Fallout 76, completely changing the rules of the Wasteland.” Along with a new mode, it seems players will be able to “prestige” their character, allowing them to be reset with more powerful abilities. This will also correspond with two high-level vault raids for veterans looking to test their mettle.
The final piece of the map is aptly named Wastelanders. “Embark on a tale with true choice and consequences in Wastelanders – our biggest and most ambitious update for 76. Wastelanders will include a new main questline, new factions, new events, new feature and even more surprises.” Wastelanders will be available this Fall.
