It is quite possible that this video doesn’t exist, but a lot of people are sharing details from it through out Reddit. In January of 2018, some sources that were supposedly close to Fable 4 fed some interesting details to Eurogamer. Fable 4 might be in development by Playground Games, who have previously developed the Forza Horizon games for Xbox. “We’ve heard the new Fable is planned as a story and character-focussed open-world action RPG,” Eurogamer says. “A significant investment in its development is also planned, with some 200 people set to work on the game at Playground‘s newly-established second office in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.”
Eurogamer also spoke with Lionhead Studios ex-staff, who gave their thoughts on the sequel. “On the other hand it is a little curious to get rid of the team that is uniquely expert in making Fable, and then try and make Fable,” the staff said. “Fable is a weird game, and a tough one to deconstruct for a new team. The team in question (Playground Games) is very talented, and I’m sure they’ll do a fantastic job.” Lionhead Studios created the Fable series, developing the first three games, and Fable: The Journey. They also worked on Fable Legends with Playground Studios until Microsoft shutdown Lionhead Studios and cancelled Fable Legends in 2016.

Possible Fable 4 Leaks
Fast forward to present day, and it seems like Playground Studios might be revealing Fable 4 at E3 this year. Reddit user ‘SufficientBridge7’ had uploaded a link to a video that supposedly showed leaked footage of Fable 4. This was taken down though, and the user’s account has been deleted. Other Reddit accounts have uploaded the footage, but each post has since been taken down as well. According to the Reddit user ‘LagSwag1’, these are some details from the alleged leak:
First/third person
- In-depth character creator
- Completely open
- No guns
- Can ignore main quest and never become a hero
- Players can build towns, ties into main quest heavily if you get the bad ending and fail
- Multiplayer
- Unreal Engine
“Albion and Aurora are gone.” “Lands reduced to fables.” “The Spire was rebuilt and used by a mad king to wish that an asteroid would strike the planet. He also wished it would happen again in the far future.” ‘LagSwag1’ says. “Eons later and everything is new (medieval themed, new continents) and you have to stop the destruction of the planet again. Theresa and a Heroes Guild are preserved via a demon door on another planet. Time Travel is heavily involved in the play. Jack of Blades returns.”
As mentioned earlier, it is possible that the leaked video and information do not exist. But, if there was a perfect time for Microsoft to announce Fable 4, it would be at this year’s E3.
