Taking The Fight to Japan

One of the biggest Fighting Game Tournaments in the world is making its way to the Land of the Rising Sun. First announced at last year’s EVO, the inaugural event will be taking place towards the start of next year. With the brand new location for EVO, the line up of featured fighting games was also announced.

  • Tekken 7
  • Guilty Gear Xrd Rev2
  • The King of Fighters XIV
  • BlazBlue Central Fiction
  • Super Smash Bros for Wii U
  • ARMS
  • Street Fighter V

The lineup consists of games seen at EVO this year, but this will mark the first official inclusion of Nintendo’s newest IP: ARMS at an EVO-related event.  There has been no confirmation if there will be any additional side tournaments or if there will be any additional collaborative efforts by any other groups. Groups such as AnimEvo, who feature a variety of anime side tournaments. EVO Japan 2018 will take place January 26-28 at Akihabara UDX in Tokyo. Are you planning on going to EVO Japan next year?
