Dragon Ball FighterZ Season 2 Announcement.

 data-srcset=

The World Tour of Dragon Ball FighterZ has come to an end, and with it, the second season is underway.

We knew we would see ongoing support for the game, but the question was which characters were we going to see? There is a wide collection of Dragon Ball characters to pick from and it makes you wonder just who will be next coming down the line.  The important thing to note was that unlike the first season, season two will only have six characters instead of eight. Which characters will be on standby?  Here’s the breakdown.

Jiren the Gray of the Pride Troopers

width=Might as well start Season 2 with the most OP Dragon Ball characters you can get.

Serving as the “Final Boss” of the Tournament of Power and Dragon Ball Super, Jiren The Gray was the first character revealed. This man is an absolute powerhouse as he has a handful of overpowering attacks at his disposal. One move even allows him to absorb hits before counterattacking. He has quite the repertoire of attacks and will no doubt add some extra muscle and justice to any team he joins in. It will be fun to see what other details we can discover from the Universe 11 enforcer, but we will have to wait for the January 31 to get our hands on him and this next fighter.

Videl Takes To The Stage!

width=Hercule would have been the next character, but he had a stomach ache, so his daughter will be filling in for him.

So this is a pleasant surprise.

While many fans likely were holding out for the saviour of Earth to be a playable character, we have Videl coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ. While Videl is a strong fighter in her own right, she isn’t going in alone. She is the fourth character after Tien, 18, and Captain Ginyu who can call in help to fight, and he is the Eliminator of Every Evil! Ally of Justice! The Great Saiyaman!

width=Always nice to see a couple fighting together. ^__^

Videl can call on Saiyaman to help her out in fights. This can range from having him go in for an attack or even acting as a wake up super should Videl get knocked down. The two will be a formidable team as their Level 3 almost emulates 18‘s where the two team up to deliver a powerful combination attack.  What‘s more, you can finally make a team that (somewhat) comprises three Gohans, so that should be fun.

Both Videl and Jiren will arrive on January 31, so be sure to check out those two characters when they come out.

Super Broly and Gogeta Blue On Standby!

width=Because if Xenoverse 2 can have these two, why not Dragonball FighterZ?

Before the trailer ended, we got to see the last two fighters that will arrive in Season 2. While we saw no in-game footage of the two, we got confirmation that SSGSS Gogeta and the Dragon Ball Super version of Broly will join the roster at a later date. It will be interesting to see how Gogeta will differ from Vegito and differ the two Brolys. Either way, we are still ways out from seeing these two in action so we’ll just have to sit tight until the trailers come out.

So what do you think?

With all this upcoming content coming soon, there’s no doubt that Dragon Ball FighterZ is looking to make a massive impact in their second year. The question though becomes, what exactly will we see from these six characters and if they will shake up the game’s meta. It might be safe to assume we will not see any additional dramatic finishes unless if the middle two characters happen to be big name characters, but we’ll have to wait and see.

But What do you guys think? Who are the middle two characters we’ll see come to the game? Will these characters make an impact when they come? And were you excited for the World Tour Finals? Leave your thoughts down below and be sure to follow us here at Culture of Gaming as we will have a follow up to this news very soon.
