Following the wild State of Play from March 25th, Sony revealed the date for the next livestream. On May 9th at 3:00 pm Pacific time, PlayStation will showcase the remake for MediEvil, as well as a first look at an upcoming game. The livestream will last for around 10 minutes, but that doesn’t mean it will be disappointing. However, you shouldn’t get excited for PS5 news as the blog states, “Don’t expect any updates relating to our next-generation plans this time. Sorry!”
MediEvil had originally released on the PlayStation back in 1998, and players have since been longing for a remake or reboot. Which is lucky for them, because they’re finally getting it. The remake will be built from the ground-up, similarly to the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. The remake will also be developed by Other Ocean Interactive, best known for developing Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist, as well as co-developing Super Monkey Ball 2, and the notorious Minecraft New Nintendo 3DS Edition. The other game that will be showcased has yet to be announced. The Playstation Blog claims that the State of Play livestream will show a “first look at a new title.”
