Get ready to defend the universe in virtual reality with Voltron Legendary Defender coming to PlayStation VR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive.
Dreamworks is partnering with Digital Domain to bring the universe to life. The character designs and the animation look similar to the Netflix animated series, with the voice acting remaining faithful and the game promising to be action-packed. It looks to be an episodic game.
Players are set to embody the Blue Paladin of Voltron, Lance, and fight alongside the other Paladins as they protect Arus from the evil Zarkon, his son Lotor, and witch Haggar.
Currently, Voltron VR Chronicles is available for pre-order on the PlayStation Store at 20% off. Contradicting the console-wide September 26 release date given by the press release. The PS Store listing states that Chronicles will be released on December 31. It also states that two PlayStation Move controllers will be required. You can watch the announce trailer below.
In the event that PlayStation owners are stuck waiting, they can catch up on Voltron Legendary Defender’s fourth season, due to release on October 14, on Netflix.
