Crash Bandicoot 4 Leaked by Taiwan Ratings Board

it might seem hard to believe that the last “officially numbered” title from Crash Bandicoot came all the way back in 1998. While we have had a wide variety of titles featuring the Bandicoot through other adventures and a few Kart Racing titles, that it wouldn’t be until now when we would finally see Crash Bandicoot 4. And just like its subtitle:

It’s About Time

While there was a teaser for a possible new Crash title announcement (via a puzzle featuring a mask), Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time did receive a rating through the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee for the unannounced title. The game is currently being developed for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is also possible that we will see next-generation versions of the game as on the box art for Xbox One, we see a mention of Xbox Series X. If this is true, we may also have our first taste of what the “Smart Delivery” indicator will look like too.

With the rating, there was also a description for the upcoming game which reads as follows:

Crash is relaxing and exploring his island in his time, 1998, when he finds a mysterious mask hidden away in a cave, Lani-Loli. The mask is one of the Quantum Masks and apparently knows Aku-Aku, Crash’s mask friend! With the Quantum Masks returning and a Quantum Rift appearing near our heroes, they decide to bravely head through to different times and dimensions to stop whoever is responsible.

What do you think about Crash Bandicoot 4?

Are you excited to see the return of Crash Bandicoot? Could the “4” in the title showcase a return to previous Crash games? As we see the logo for Toys For Bob (The developers behind the recent remasters of both Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy), it would be safe to say Crash will be in good hands.

How’s it going everyone, I’m Mike Sol and I am one of many contributing writers to Culture of Gaming. You can usually find me playing some of the latest games to come out, although I tend to avoid anything related to sports or strategy. I enjoy the big three and all the games on them but my main console is the Xbox One. I don’t have a specific preference in gaming, but any game that has fun action and beating up waves of enemies is usually my cup tea.
