Ubisoft Reveals Assassins Creed Valhalla
Today at 8am PDT, Ubisoft released more information about the new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. This comes after a teaser image released yesterday for the game, revealing that the new Assassin’s Creed game will have a “Viking” theme. Although that is all we know so far. Today’s trailer release has given us some more information though.

Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla comes after the well received Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey, which included never before seen RPG-like elements to the franchise. It is assumed that Valhalla will take a similar approach. As other Nordic- themed games like Skyrim and God of War have seen a lot of success.
Here’s What The Assassins Creed Valhalla Trailer Shows
The Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla trailer sets the scene for the new game, with the focus being on a burly, blond-haired Viking. As we get a narration by the British King waging war on the Vikings, describing them as heartless barbarians. Images of the Vikings are shown saying goodbye to their families as they prepare for battle. While in a village raid, the main character clearly stops his men from killing a mother and her children. Showing that the Vikings aren’t the barbarians that the King is announcing them to be. The trailer then goes to a large battle between the supposed British troops and the Vikings. Where our main protagonist has a one-on-one fight with a British soldier. In the fight, the Viking wins with his secret weapon: his hidden blade.
From the trailer, not much can be implied about the gameplay other than a possible focus on larger battles alongside the traditional Assassin’s Creed gameplay style. Also as the release date just states “Holiday 2020”, there is a possibility that Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla could be an Xbox Series X launch title. A large title such as this could be a great holiday push for the new console, even perhaps getting made into a bundle.
