If you grew up in the same generation that I did, you are no doubt familiar with the Medal of Honor series. There have been at least 14 installments with the most recent being MoH: Warfighter (2010), developed by Danger Close Games.
Respawn Entertainment, developers for the battle royale shooter Apex Legends is now trying their hand at creating something for the military shooter series.
Whereas previous titles went the traditional first-person route, Respawn is looking to VR with Medal of Honor: Above and Beyond. Set to release in 2020, the game will be played through the Oculus VR system.
You’ll have to invest in a new system if you want to play this. According to one dev, a single rendered uniform takes up more information space than the first installment in the series.
Like its predecessors, the game is set in the Western Europe region. As a soldier working for the OSS (Office of Strategic Services), you are sent on special missions to cripple the Nazi war machine’s support structure.
The game is rumored to feature a multiplayer mode, but so far there has been no confirmation of such.
